Passport Entry #4 stamp — Turning Tides

When you reach a turning point, there’s a realization that you cannot go back.
The version of you that wants progress takes over.
This is when you know you’ve found it.

As the tide rolled in, we noticed the grooves it left in the sand. The water line being lower, a dried texture remained. With impressions along the beach, it was clear what had happened. The tide was turning.

Not all at once. The way it happens is gradual. Changing seasons. Changing of the guard. Sandy beaches borne out of alluvial planes, and onshore erosion. It comes at you on both ends.

Erosion. Deposition. Composition. Growth. Decline. Progress. Cycles of coincidence and serendipity. Tension and competing forces can create harmony.

We’ve ran up against resistance before, and we held firm. The metallic lines along the edges. The grooves and lines in the sand. Resistance.

Sounds entered along the way, from concept to waves. We held onto the sounds as long as we needed to. We’re still holding onto some.

Reflecting back on how far we’ve came, it’s interesting to see how firm one holds onto belief. Whether it’s belief in a concept, virtue, or song. But like seasonal change, growth is gradual until it’s fully shifted. So we’re riding the tide. As the waves roll in, we’re feeling the weight.

The next step in our journey awaits. Let’s see where this takes us.
